ECO4 Savings

How much money could I save through ECO4?

Upgrading your home’s heat source and insulating your walls and loft has a huge impact on your home’s heat efficiency.

Simply put, your property needs less energy to heat up and is better at retaining that heat, so you spend less money on re-heating it.

With an ECO4 grant, not only is installing the likes of an air source pump and loft insulation free, but preventing such a huge heat loss from your home can result in £100s in savings on your annual energy bills.

For example, the Energy Saving Trust suggests savings for properties getting loft insulation for the first time.

What types of home improvements are covered by ECO4?

Expand

ECO4 provides free grants for a wide range of home improvements, including:

First time central heating - Gain uniform heating control over your home from a single main source. To qualify, you will need a mains gas connection and no history of central heating at the property.

Loft insulation - A very simple insulation method, loft insulation helps prevent heat loss through your roof, meaning your home stays warmer for longer, and with less effort

Air source heat pump - These clever devices extract heat from air outside your home—even in minus temperatures—and transfer that heat inside, keeping you warm whatever the weather.

Internal wall insulation - Rigid insulation boards are added to the walls within your home, preventing heat loss to the outside. This helps you use less energy to initially heat up the property.

Solar panels - As the name implies, these panels take energy from the sun and convert it into electrical energy for your home, lowering your reliance on energy from the grid, and helping to lower your energy bills as a result.
